Life in 5th Grade at Northern Lights School

Happy last day of the school year! Thank you so much for welcoming me into this classroom. I will miss everyone so much! I hope that everyone has a fun, safe summer! Best of luck at Nose Creek, grade 5’s!

 Hello families, As we prepare for our final week of school, I would like to remind you that tomorrow,  Wednesday, June 28, at 2:45 p.m., is our Grade 5 Send Off.  Please see details below as a reminder:  Parents or guardians can join us in our Northern Lights School Gymnasium for a short picture slide show highlighting some memories from the year, a frozen treat, and an opportunity to take a picture of your child with your child's teacher if you would like. You will be sitting on the floor with your child during the slide show, so please bring a small blanket to lay out. (A few chairs will be available if you have mobility challenges.)

Hello families, Today we celebrated Play Day! 

Hello families, We will be having our school-wide Play Day on Friday, June 23.  This has a special theme to it: Western Wear! This means you can come dressed with denim and plaid in good 'ol Calgarian fashion! Students are asked to make sure that they dress for varied weather and bring a water bottle. Students can come with sunscreen, but will be responsible for applying it themselves.  Students will be given freezies as a treat on Play Day.  If you DO NOT want your child to have the freezie, please email me as soon as possible and send an alternative snack for your child instead. If I do not receive an email, that will mean that your child has permission to have the treat.  (The ingredients are: Water, glucose-fructose/sugar, citric acid, simulated flavours, sodium carboxymenthyl cellulose (stabilizer), sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (to maintain freshness, stevia extract, colour.)
