Happy Friday, families!

Thank you to those who have filled out the surveys for our Grade 5 Send Off! Also, thank you for taking the time to get a t-shirt for your child to participate in our tie-dying day! Please try to complete the survey and send a t-shirt before Wednesday, June 22.

Today we:

Had a community circle with the question prompt: if you could relive a moment in your life, what would it be? Ask your child what they answered!

We learned about different types of clouds.

And went outside to search for the different types in the sky!

We went to the Makerspace to imagine new things.

We worked on a secret Father's Day gift to celebrate our Dad's!

We played soccer in gym!

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

  • June 22 – Grade 5 Tie-Dying Day and National Indigenous People's Day
  • June 23 – Play Day

GRADE 5 SEND OFF

Parents or guardians can join us in our Northern Lights School Gymnasium for a short picture slide show highlighting some memories from the year, a frozen treat, and an opportunity to take a picture of your child with your child's teacher if you would like.

You will be sitting on the floor with your child during the slide show, so please bring a small blanket to lay out. (A few chairs will be available if you have mobility challenges.)

To give them something special for the 'send-off', our grade fives will be tie-dying a white shirt on Thursday, June 22.  After they are tie-dyed, students will have an opportunity for their classmates sign their shirt prior to wearing it.

For the tie-dying activity, please send a white t-shirt that fits your Grade Five child to school with them before Wednesday, June 21.

Please complete our short RSVP survey so we know how many people to expect and buy ice cream sandwiches for by going to https://forms.office.com/r/kftHc4kSQa.
