Hello families,

As we prepare for our final week of school, I would like to remind you that on Wednesday, June 28, at 2:45 p.m., we will be having our Grade 5 Send Off. Please see details below as a reminder: 

Parents or guardians can join us in our Northern Lights School Gymnasium for a short picture slide show highlighting some memories from the year, a frozen treat, and an opportunity to take a picture of your child with your child's teacher if you would like.

You will be sitting on the floor with your child during the slide show, so please bring a small blanket to lay out. (A few chairs will be available if you have mobility challenges.)


Today we...


We played with something called "Black Out Poetry"! Ask your child what their poem was!



We played a new tag game for a body break. It was a lot of fun!


And we went outside to test our weather instruments.

Happy Friday, families! Thank you to those who have filled out the surveys for our Grade 5 Send Off! Also, thank you for taking the time to get a t-shirt for your child to participate in our tie-dying day! Please try to complete the survey and send a t-shirt before Wednesday, June 22. Today we: Had a community circle with the question prompt: if you could relive a moment in your life, what would it be? Ask your child what they answered! We learned about different types of clouds. Happy Monday, families! Today was a fun day in grade 5! It felt like it went by so quickly! We played kickball outside in the baseball diamond. We reviewed some fraction questions that were difficult. We read a REALLY important part of "City of Ember"! Ask me what happened! We listened to the Nose Creek Honour Band. We wrote about what we know and wonder about weather. Hello families! Just a reminder - there is no school tomorrow (Friday, June 9) as there is a PD Day. I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday! Today we... Worked hard on our fractions practice! We will be having our final check in next week. We worked on creating Book Reviews for our novel studies! We planned a trip to a place in the world based on their climate. Ask me where I wanted to go!
